I believe that my enthusiasm was contagious because relatives proposed to come to work without pay. So, my friend Éliane Orosdi, one of the most beautiful women I’ve ever met, and God knows I’ve met. It was for me, on my modest beginner scale, what Cora Caetani or Sonia Magaloff had for Elsa Schiaparelli. His presence and relationships greatly helped me, at the very beginning of the house, and nobody was wearing my models with more chic. Eliane, a neighbor of Givenchy in the Rue Fabert, had as parents the owners of Bourjois perfumes. An unusual seduction, the young woman was one of the muses of René Gruau, and many of her uncluttered and elegant silhouettes of the time were inspired by her. For Givenchy, Éliane Orosdi turned into a worldly saleswoman. “To help her was a joy of every moment, for this mixture of youth, talent and moral strength was as rare as it was moving,” she said today. But no collaborator was more devoted and efficient than Bettina. Mannequin star, hostess, public relations manager and press service …, her support knew no limits. Bettina, which had been shaped by Jacques Fathi, was the most celebrated cover-girl of her generation – ITA – Translate – Hubert de Givenchy – Ognuno mi ha sostenuto senza debolezza, con gentilezza e coraggio.
